In Smoothies

Makes 1

 

  • 1 bag Twinings Pure Peppermint
  • 45ml boiling water
  • 10ml honey, to taste (optional)
  • 15ml raw cocoa powder
  • 1 banana, peeled, sliced and frozen
  • ½ avocado, flesh cubed
  • 60ml almond milk or low fat milk

 

To serve (optional):

  • a few fresh raspberries
  • raw cocoa nibs or dark chocolate shavings
  • mint leaves

 

Method:

  1. Pour the boiling water over the tea and allow to steep for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove the tea bag and stir in the honey.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a blender with all of the remaining ingredients. Blend until smooth and combined.
  4. Pour into a glass and serve at once, decorated with a few raspberries, chocolate shavings and mint leaves if desired.
